BUILDING a WAD File Using the New WED V5.261

  Open any level in WED and in the “Project” view window click on the Textures Tab, then right mouse click on one of the pictures in a wad file and choose

 Texture Manager from the dropdown list.

 

  The WAD Manager window will appear, then click on Build WAD.

 

 

 

Then enter the name that you want to give your wad file and save it.

 

 

After you click on Save the WAD Manager window will appear again,

This time choose add wad, and from the wad files click on the

Yourname.wad to highlight it, then click on Open.

 

 

WAD Manager window will open again and it should now show yourname.wad

in the WAD Manager window. Click OK

 

 

Now you should see yourname.wad in the Project Texture window.

With WED’s default picture in it.

   Right mouse click on the picture and choose Add Texture.

 Go to the folder where your pictures are located and now just

Start adding them to the yourname.wad.

 

 

 

You have just built a WAD FILE.
